More than just a plan, we’re creating Madrid’s Municipal Strategic Plan (the Master Plan), a living roadmap for the city’s growth and transformation. Built on three essential pillars (housing, sustainability and urban transformation), we’ve identified 9 key challenges and are tackling them head on, building the city we envision for tomorrow.

Planning the City Together

This project is about co creating Madrid’s future, with and for everyone who calls it home. It’s driven by active listening, collaboration and collective action. How? So far, we’ve organized: working groups with more than 800 professionals; informative talks in all 21 districts; technical meetings with associations, organizations, and institutions; 21 citizen participation sessions and 17 group workshops; a large scale survey with over 4,000 participants; and an open space on this website where anyone can share their vision and dreams for the city.
